We are currently partnered with a global real estate investment manager ($70B+ AUM) looking to expand their real estate performance analytics group by brining on an Associate. This firm has a large real estate presence across all the major real estate asset classes in the US and Europe.

This role will focus on portfolio performance analysis, data visualization, data management, and investment reporting, supporting decision-making across the firm’s real estate investment strategies. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in real estate, private equity, or alternative asset management and possess strong technical skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities:

Performance Analysis & Reporting

• Track and analyze real estate portfolio performance, investment returns, and key financial metrics.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports to provide insights to senior management, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct attribution analysis, benchmarking, and comparative studies to evaluate fund and asset-level performance.

Data Management & Automation

• Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
• Work closely with the technology and finance teams to ensure data integrity and optimize reporting processes.
• Develop automated workflows and improve efficiency in performance reporting.

Project Management for Data & Performance Measurement Systems

• Serve as the project lead for data-related initiatives impacting performance measurement systems and investment analytics.
• Manage system upgrades, data migrations, and process enhancements in collaboration with IT, data engineers, and external vendors.
• Drive the implementation of new performance measurement tools, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders across investment, risk, operations, and finance teams to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope, tracking milestones and resolving roadblocks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in real estate, private equity, or alternative asset management, with a focus on performance analytics, investment reporting, business intelligence, or financial data analysis.
• Experience managing data-related projects, system implementations, or reporting automation in an investment environment.
• Technical skills in Excel (advanced functions, macros, VBA preferred), SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Experience with performance measurement systems (e.g., eFront, Burgiss, FactSet, or proprietary platforms) is a plus.
