Our client is boutique NYC based Alternative Asset Manager currently seeking to add a talented Fund Finance Manager for one of their new launched Funds. This opportunity uniquely offers candidates the opportunity to split time between Real Estate and Private Equity products for our client. Responsibilities will impact a variety of the management company (“the Firm”) and investment vehicles’(“the Funds”) operations and initiatives, including:

Ideal candidate must be well versed with reviewing and preparing Fund Financials, preparing investment performance reports, and presenting findings to Management Committee. Firm currently utilizes 3rd party vendors for preparation of administrative accounting and finance, so this individual will be reviewing their work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist portfolio valuations efforts including portfolio optimization, risk analytics, performance attribution, and risk/liability management
  • Prepare/review accurate net asset values (NAVs), yields, distributions, and other fund accounting outputs for subsequent review.
  • Calculation and review of LP/GP investor allocations including incentive fees, management fees, waterfall calculations, and IRRs. Capital Call/Distribution management.
  • Conduct financial analysis on financial statements in order to isolate troubled assets and develop remediation protocols
  • Perform financial statement preparation, cash and position reconciliations, entering income/expense accruals, preparing capital allocation schedules, and sending investor correspondence regarding account balances
  • Collaborate with CFO/Controller on preparation of firm reporting and intra-company reconciliation process

Desired Skills and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of (Accounting/Audit/Tax) industry experience
  • CPA or CPA in progress highly preferred
  • Prior experience with Tax Accounting/Reporting required
  • Outstanding communication skills, proven ability to effectively work with all levels of Management
  • Technical skills; Advanced Excel and Portfolio Accounting Software preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dead-line driven dynamic environment
  • Innovative and creative thinker
