A Boutique Start-Up Data Tech firm is building out their operations and seeking a Controller/head of Finance - this professional will be reporting to the CFO. Will be managing a team in charge of Financial Operations - Full Cycle Accounting, Budgeting, Forecasting, Audit, Management Reporting, and working with external consultants.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a team responsible for through G/L, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Payroll, and Consolidations including monthly operating financial statements, forecasts, monthly variance analysis, free cash flow, operating plan, and five-year long-range plan
• Ensure a timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
• Expense report processing
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Preparation of the monthly management financial statements and working papers.
• Work closely with other teams on adhoc projects, including supporting financial impact for transactions/merger & acquisition
• Working with external service providers including auditors to assist in completing the annual audits and tax returns.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics is a must - strong academic GPA
• 10+years of Experience in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• Strong hands-on professional with GL, P&L
• SaaS Experience a plus

Our client is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary and discretionary performance bonus, including benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 - 175,000 plus Bonus; depending on experience.
