A family office organization that operates and administrates an expansive portfolio of private residential and commercial properties and various other assets, all under common management. The Controller will be assigned a variety of accounting, financial planning, reporting, and administrative duties required to support this complex organization.

  • Responsible for overall Cash Management liaising with banking partner
  • Handle management of bank accounts including setting up, changing authorities on, and closing accounts.
  • Review bank reconciliations prepared by the Accounting team
  • Manage approval process for Accounts Payable
  • Review vendor setup for all new vendors or changes to existing vendors
  • Review general ledger entries for all payments
  • Review payments prior to execution
  • Support researching and resolving accounts payable issues with vendors
  • Review monthly A/P reports
  • Support budget review process
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Review monthly A/R reports
  • General Ledger
  • Review General Ledger activity for accuracy
  • Review Budget amounts for departments
  • Financial Statements and Reporting
  • Produce timely accounting reports (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Print and provide regular Financial Statements Packages for review
  • Prepare and distribute other statements, reports and analyses as needed
  • Payroll
  • Monitor accounting set up for payroll to assure accounting entries are appropriate
  • Maintain records for taxes and other items withheld from payroll
  • Coordinate the biweekly payroll process and act as liaison with payroll company
