Summary
The Site Coordinator (summer) is a funded position through the Florida Department of Education grant. The Site Coordinator is an integral part of the CARE Center in the College of Health and Wellness and provides oversight of the CHAMPS- CROP Summer program that takes place on Barry University's campus. CHAMPS-CROP Summer program offers youth in grades 6-12 educational and interactive activities (health and wellness, college and career readiness, sports, mentoring and leadership).
The Site Coordinator (summer) works directly with the CHAMPS-CROP Program Director to ensure the program is implemented and delivered with consistency and fidelity. The coordinator also ensures timely delivery and collection of program data information, such as pre- and post-measures and program attendance, and maintains consistent communication with parents and program participants.
Essential Functions
Assist in the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of CHAMPS-CROP program participants
Work with CHAMPS-CROP Program Director to ensure the program is implemented and delivered with consistency and fidelity.
Participate in all University, CHAMPS-CROP program, and funding trainings
Ensure timely delivery and collection of program data information, i.e., pre- and post-measures and program attendance
Assist the CHAMPS-CROP Program Director/s to ensure has program has all necessary program materials and supplies, such as: program curriculum, program supplies, meals/snacks
Maintain consistent communication with program participants and their parents.
Provides direction for CHAMPS-CROP Summer program staff, subcontractors, and volunteers
Supervise and provide direction to the summer counselors on site for the successful implementation and delivery of evidence-based and best practice programming.
Coordinate meetings and trainings with CHAMPS-CROP Program Director/s for summer program staff/volunteer
Oversee data collection management of CHAMPS-CROP summer program participants
Coordinate summer program schedules and space allocation for the implementation and delivery of programming
Qualifications/Requirements
An Associate's degree is required. A Bachelor's degree in any field is preferred.
3-5 years of experience coordinating youth development-enrichment activities for middle and high school students is required.
A Level II background screening is required.
Advanced communication skills, verbal and written.
Must be able to interact with program directors, program participants, subcontractors, program staff, and community members.
