Internal Communications Manager

The Internal Communications Manager serves as a strategic partner to leaders and employees across the organization, providing expert guidance and counsel on internal communications initiatives. The Internal Communications Manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop, refine, and deliver impactful communications projects that foster engagement, support business priorities, and reflect our unique culture. By building strong relationships and championing effective communication, this individual will play a crucial part in shaping the employee experience and ensuring our messages resonate across diverse audiences and environments.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Counsel: [25%]
- Build strong partnership with senior leaders in assigned business and functional areas
- Working with senior leaders, craft messaging that supports business objectives, change initiatives, and cultural priorities
- Provide counsel on communication strategies for organizational programs and transformation efforts
Communications Planning & Campaign Execution: [50%]
- Create and execute strong and effective communications plans in support of key internal initiatives
- Ensure plans are aligned with communications activities taking place across organization, in collaboration with other communications team members and other business partners
- Track, analyze and report metrics, using this information to continually adjust and refine communications activities
Model and Foster a Continuous Improvement Quality Mindset: [15%]
- Develop an enterprise mindset, looking for opportunities to leverage plans and activities across multiple employee groups and working collaboratively across the full communications organization, including international and external teams
- Develop and maintain technical proficiency in using communications tools and channels in both conventional and creative manners
- Develop communications materials with a quality mindset, ensuring proper use of templates and company style, with a consistently high level of attention to detail
- Proactively identify and implement AI tools in support of work, maintaining an attitude of continuous exploration and improvement
Develop strong business acumen: [10%]
- Deepen knowledge across business, including all business units
- Develop strong knowledge of key priorities and strategic goals for assigned functions
- Develop understanding of employee experience, particularly across assigned areas, allowing for more targeted and effective communications plans and activities
Basic Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience, preferably in corporate communications
Previous Experience
- 8+ years of experience in internal communications for a large, global organization

Preferred Skills
- Experience partnering with Marketing and Creative Services to create and execute robust internal campaigns in multiple media in support of new or existing initiatives
- Experience working in insurance or financial services industry

Pay Range:
$86,000.00 - $143,700.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
