Akkodis is seeking an Electronics Technician - Medical device for a Contract to hire job with a client in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of electronic medical equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Rate Range: $28/hour to $30/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Electronics Technician - Medical device job responsibilities include:

  • Performing scheduled preventive maintenance on electronic medical equipment and diagnosing/repairing malfunctioning devices.

  • Installing and configuring new medical equipment, conducting performance and safety tests before use.

  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare safety standards (e.g., FDA, OSHA, TJC) and maintaining accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.

  • Providing technical assistance to healthcare staff and troubleshooting user issues.

  • Tracking inventory of devices and parts and assisting in the procurement and disposal of equipment.

  • Collaborating with vendors and manufacturers for technical support and warranty repairs.

  • Coordinating maintenance schedules with clinical staff to minimize disruptions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance or a related field.

  • Experience with CMS Nuvolo software, Nihon Kohden patient monitoring, and GE medical equipment.

  • Knowledge of safety standards and medical device regulations, with experience in handling devices such as Steris/Amsco, Datex Ohmeda anesthesia machines, and Getinge servo systems.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
