Akkodis is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer with a client located in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering to be considered. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and oversee the manufacturing of electrical equipment and systems, including power generation, communication systems, motors, navigation systems, and electrical components. You will also be creating schematics and layouts for electrical circuits, power systems, and electronic devices.

Pay/Salary Range $90k-$115k.

Sr. Electrical Engineer job responsibilities include:

· Mentor junior engineers in professional growth and understanding of electrical systems.

· Work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals in the development of companies next-generation electrical architectures for spectroscopic and imaging systems.

· Utilize electrical engineering expertise in a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and test new solutions to meet customer requirements and specifications for spectral sensing applications, integrating spectrometers with light sources, motion control systems, and other components.

· Investigate, propose, and build consensus for future technology solutions and design architectures.

· Lead the effort to improve configuration management from prototype to production release.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.

· Minimum Eight years related experience.

· Experience with PCB’s is required.

· Hands-on experience developing tightly integrated hardware/firmware systems from concept through volume production.

· Strong understanding of cable design best practices, documentation, and build.

· Expert knowledge of electronics in in the digital domain, including design, layout, simulation, test, and verification

· Experience in board design with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI

· Experience with Altium Designer eCAD
