Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Lake Forest, IL. This role requires strong experience in regulated environments, particularly GxP systems, to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and quality standards.

Rate Range: $36/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and approving software lifecycle deliverables, such as requirements, design specs, and validation documents.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GxP).

• Developing, maintaining, and updating detailed design and interface specifications.

• Troubleshooting, debugging, and isolating software issues while providing strategic solutions.

• Writing, updating, and executing test cases, procedures, and reports.

• Conducting root-cause analysis of software failures and supporting corrective actions.

• Supporting audits, CAPA processes, and change control activities for regulated applications.

• Ensuring quality management system (QMS) compliance and maintaining clear communication across teams and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field.

• Typically, a minimum of 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering disciplines.

• Prior experience in regulated industries, particularly with GxP systems.

• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11, 820, and other relevant standards.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $40.00 per hour
