Akkodis is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer for a Direct hire job with a client in Dallas, TX (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for managing and enhancing information security infrastructure, including Microsoft M365/Azure security tools and Palo Alto Networks Next-Gen Firewalls.

Salary Range: $110K/Year to $120K/Year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Information Security Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Managing and enhancing the Firm’s information security infrastructure, including tools like Microsoft M365/Azure, Defender for O365, and Palo Alto Networks Next-Gen Firewalls.

• Monitoring and analyzing security events to detect policy violations, network intrusions, and abnormal behaviors.

• Assisting with vulnerability management, penetration testing, and executing security audits and risk assessments.

• Crafting and documenting security standards, procedures, and operational playbooks.

• Responding to security incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

• Collaborating with vendors and consultants to identify new security technologies and assess their applicability to the Firm.

• Leading the Firm's patching process and maintaining up-to-date operating systems and security technologies.

• Providing training, documentation, and support to Firm personnel on information security practices and technologies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in an information security role, with at least 3 years in a general IT role.

• At least one industry-recognized security certification, such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, GCIH, or CySA+.

• Experience with SIEM systems, including monitoring, threat hunting, and creating correlation rules and alerts, as well as familiarity with security controls in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
