Akkodis is seeking a qualified Data Scientist to join our client’s team for a full time, direct hire position in Washington, DC. This position is not available for c2c or third party applicants.

Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 pear year

Role:

•Build and test machine learning models to support the platform.
•Maintain and contribute to existing Data Science codebases.
•Work with the software engineering team to deploy models that provide ongoing forecasts, optimizations, recommendations, and insights.
•Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
•Identify and investigate data issues.
•Review diagnostic and performance reports to locate and correct problems and optimize algorithms.
•Work collaboratively with peers by actively participating in research reviews and discussions.
•Work with Client Support and Delivery teams to communicate outcomes, changes, and new features in the platform.
•Work with analytical leaders to prioritize business information and potential software improvements.

Qualifications
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a relevant field.
•Strong knowledge and experience in areas that include machine learning, statistics, regression and time series modeling, deep learning, generative AI, causal inference and experimentation.
•1-3 years of experience with a scripting language (Python is desired).
•Knowledge of statistical analysis packages (e.g., scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Statsmodels, matplotlib, and PyTorch).
•Expertise with relational database concepts, SQL, and a working knowledge of ETL processes.
•Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and Git or other version control systems.
•Experienced with reporting packages (such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.) desired.

This position will provide PTO and benefits including medical, dental and vision, 410k participation and other offerings.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
