Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Rochester, NY. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and repairing hardware, as well as modifying and assembling board-level components for tactical radio accessories.

Rate Range: $42/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Electrical Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting, testing, and repairing hardware, including board-level modifications for tactical radio accessories.

• Performing RF, analog, and digital design tasks, as well as fault isolation on radio systems.

• Using test and measurement equipment to evaluate and ensure radio equipment performance.

• Building cables, fixtures, and ancillary hardware, and supporting product development efforts.

• Supporting field tests and engineering needs, including troubleshooting new and existing products in a manufacturing facility.

• Managing the entry of items such as BOMs, ECOs, and ECRs into the Division CM System (Agile).

• Designing and assembling fixtures and cables, and handling board-level modifications.

• Evaluating designs for testability and supporting automated testing systems.

• Collaborating with design engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure product reliability and performance.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical technology or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically with RF, analog, and digital circuitry.

• Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, and IPC-7711/7721 (certification preferred).

• Experience with board-level modifications, PWB build, and fixture design/assembly.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $47.00 per hour
