Akkodis is seeking an Android Developer for a Contract job with a client in Mason OH (Remote). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into a user-friendly product while also monitoring app performance and conducting unit tests.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Android Developer job responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, reusable, and reliable code for Android applications.

• Monitoring the performance of live apps and optimizing them at the code level to enhance user experience.

• Writing and executing unit and instrumentation tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the code.

• Integrating new Jetpack Compose screens into an existing Android XML view-based app.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and translate requirements into user-friendly, efficient mobile applications.

• Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols to continuously improve development practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Android development.

• Strong proficiency in Android SDK, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, optimizing app performance, and working with offline storage and threading.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
