Akkodis is seeking a Production Equipment Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift for a position with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL .

Looking for a skilled professional to support 2nd shift operations by ensuring all production machinery runs efficiently and accurately. Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing machine tools, assembly lines, and test stands, including motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, and fans.

Diagnoses mechanical issues, predicts potential failures, disassembles and replaces defective parts, and performs adjustments, cleaning, and lubrication to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Pay Range: $32/hr. - $35/hr. (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Shift : 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm, Mon–Fri) in our manufacturing facility.

Training will be in the first shift for the first 6 weeks.

JOB SUMMARY

Production Equipment Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery including motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues within machine circuitry and controls
• Maintain equipment documentation and safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to meet production goals

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of manufacturing equipment maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems)
• Experience with machine drive trains, precision spindles & production controls
• Ability to read schematics and work independently or in team settings
• HS Diploma or GED required

🔧 PLC, machine shop, and journeyman machinist experience a plus.
