Akkodis is seeking a Product Design Engineer who will lead and support engineering activities across the full product development lifecycle—from initial concepts through regulatory approval, production, and ongoing improvement. The position centers on the development of components and systems used in aircraft seating, occupant restraint devices, and airbag‑related technologies. Success in this role requires a blend of mechanical and electromechanical design expertise, solid engineering judgment, and effective collaboration with teams involved in quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, and testing.

This position is an onsite Direct-Hire opportunity.

Pay Range: $75,000-$85,000 annually + Benefits

Responsibilities

• Drive product development from early design through formal certification processes and into post‑release support.
• Develop solutions involving mechanical, electromechanical, and occasionally hydraulic subsystems.
• Contribute to technical documentation, design validation efforts, and cross‑disciplinary coordination throughout the engineering cycle.
• Support testing activities required for regulatory compliance and internal quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of engineering experience in Aerospace industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Strong capability in mechanical design, hands‑on product development, and the use of Microsoft Office 365.
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear documentation and communicate effectively across disciplines.
• Practical experience applying DOE, DFMEA, and compliance‑tracking tools.
