Sr. Developer with Java & AWS

Akkodis is seeking an Sr. Developer with Java & AWS for a Contract with a client in Melbourne, FL(Remote). Candidates must bring strong Java (17+) and AWS cloud proficiency to design microservices architectures and optimize application performance in cloud environments.
Rate Range: $36/hour to $38/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr. Developer with Java & AWS job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java (17+) and Spring Boot within microservices architectures.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration across cloud‑native components.
Implement secure, efficient AWS solutions using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and related cloud infrastructure.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed cloud environments.
Collaborate with onshore teams in an Agile setup to deliver project milestones on time.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and ensure continuous improvement of backend services.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of hands‑on development experience with strong expertise in Java and cloud‑based application development.
Proven experience building microservices and backend services using Java (17+), Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
Strong, practical experience working with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and optimizing cloud‑native applications for performance and scalability.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
